WE ARE
The CEPEFIN - Finance Research Center - is an academic
non-profitable research group. It was installed on 06/12/2002 in
the "Faculdade de Economia, Administração e
Contabilidade de Ribeirão Preto da Universidade de São Paulo (FEA-RP/USP)",
Brazil. This group is formed by professors, undergraduate and
postgraduate students, ex-students and professionals of the area
and its objective is to foment the research, the education, the
training and the development of the financial administration,
broadcasting the technical and scientific knowledge of the area.
The CEPEFIN is open to everyone, specially or professors,
undergraduate and postgraduate students interested in producing
studies, publishing papers and participating in national and
international congresses of Finance.
The interested has to contact the CEPEFIN, or in the weekly
appointments or through the available contacts. Then, it is
necessary to identificate the selected research area and expose
the ideas presenting an academic research project. If the
undergraduate or postgraduate student has a scholarship or is
doing his monograph or thesis in the finance area, he will
automatically be linked to CEPEFIN. In this case, the group can be
used for the development of the researches. The project presented
will be evaluated by the research group and coordinators, that
will accompany all the studies until the end, when the result must
be a published paper, that will be part of the CEPEFIN data base.
The CEPEFIN works from Monday to Friday, from 8 AM until 12 AM and
from 2 PM until 6 PM, objecting to be always available to the
interested people.

The weekly appointments occur all Mondays from 6 PM until 7 PM in
the class 8, block B, at the FEA-RP/USP, Avenida dos Bandeirantes, 3900. Ribeirão Preto - SP.

There is the compromise of CEPEFIN in organizing at least once a
year an event with the best professionals in the finance area. All
of the events organizes by CEPEFIN object to present to the
interested public the actualities of the national and
international finance scenery. Furthermore, it organizes a talk
and a financial discussion per month, always bringing renowned and
actual themes.
The CEPEFIN gives eventual research scholarships objecting to
foment the researches in Finance. Moreover, it provides subsides
and orientation to the obtainment of scholarships (scientific
initiation, MPhil and PhD). See in Financial
